Hay's story

Hay S., 41, is a farmer, earning an income of USD 5 per day. S. is married and resides with her husband and nine children in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia, an area known for Angkor Wat Temple. The family has to spend USD 60 on food, USD 10 on electricity supply, and USD 25 on other necessary expenses every month.

S. is requesting a loan of USD 1200 to purchase cows to help plow her rice field. In the future, she would like to use any additional profit to repair her house. This is her first loan from CREDIT, a long-standing Kiva partner in Cambodia.
