A loan of $550 helped to grow her business by acquiring more merchandise to satisfy her clients' demands.

Teodolinda's story

Teodolinda is a mother, is 50 years old, and lives with her husband and the youngest of her five children in Las Dunas, a area outside the district of Lambayeque. This is in a commercial area located 20 minutes from the city of Chiclayo.

She has had a small store in her home, where she offers her clients diverse products including general goods and groceries. With the income from this activity, she helps her husband, who works as a bricklayer, with the family’s expenses.

Teodolinda wants to grow her business by acquiring more merchandise so that she can satisfy her clients’ demands. To increase her sales and earn more income, she has come to Edpyme Alternative for a loan for 1500 nuevos soles.

Teodolina has already had a loan from Kiva through Edpyme Alternativa. At that time, she also bought more products and was able to grow her store. At present, she is very happy and thankful for Kiva lenders.
