A loan of $900 helped to buy car parts, brake fluid, oil, etc.

Betty Robertina's story

The 22 de Julio (July 22nd) Community Bank meets every other week in the Picoaza church in the city of Portoviejo. This is a place known to be a very commercial zone, also known for its traditional celebrations for Saint Peter and Saint Paul and for the happiness of its people.

Here we find Mrs. Betty. She is 58 years old, married, and has four grown children, three of whom still live with her. Her husband is a salesman. She has been with the community bank almost since it began and enjoys it because she learns a lot at the meetings.

They have a family business where they sell car parts, oil, brake fluid, and other things. They work every day, from Monday to Friday from 8:00 am until 6:00 pm and on Saturdays and Sundays until 1:00 pm. They buy the parts and products in Guayaquil and Manta. Her children help with the business.

This loan is to buy car parts, brake fluid, etc. She dreams of having their own place of business as they currently rent.
