Anahit M. is 59 years old, married, and has three adult children. Anahit worked at Ijevan High School as a teacher until she retired on a pension. In 2001 she and her husband organized their own business in a rented space. This business consists of food and mixed product sales. During these years they have built up their own shop and have bought furniture for their house. Anahit’s shop has a reputation in Ijevan of having the cheapest products for retail and wholesale purchasing.

Thanks to her first Kiva loan Anahit increased her shop assortment, which allowed her to have a good income. This permitted her and her husband to repair a part of their house and to add a story to their shop, which is situated in their house’s yard. Anahit and her husband are also managing a gift shop in the new addition.

Anahit is requesting a loan for 1,000,000 AMD to buy food wholesale and New Year’s gifts for her shop. With future income she intends to complete her house construction. This is Anahit’s sixth loan from Nor Horizon and her second loan from Kiva.
