Serikbol's story

Serikbol J. is 36 years old and lives with his wife and four sons in the Bayan-Ulgii province of western Mongolia. He and his family live together in a ger, a traditional Mongolian nomadic tent. Serikbol operates a livestock husbandry business in his town. He began his business in 2005 and after several years of operation, he has managed to establish himself in the business community. During winter, he sells mare's milk (fermented milk), which is very profitable to sell. Currently he owns two horses and three cows. For the future, he plans to increase the number of his livestock. Because of his business success, he has used his earnings to provide for his family. He says, " All I want is to have my own farm." Serikbol is requesting a 800,000 MNT loan to purchase more hay to feed his livestock.
