A loan of $725 helped to acquire more products.

Jose Florentino's story

José is a 64 year-old father who lives with his family in the village of Agua Blanca, in Olmos district. This is a rural area whose main economic activity is farming. It is located in Lambayeque province and is more than two and a half hours from the city of Chiclayo.

José has a small grocery store in his home with which he satisfies his customers' demands for daily-use products. He offers a range of essentials, groceries, candy and drinks. His business is very popular with the residents of his area. He uses his profits to help his family get ahead in life. José also does farm work.

José would like to expand his business by acquiring more products so that he can satisfy the demand that he has right now and make more income from the sale of his merchandise. For this reason, he is requesting a loan for 2,000 Peruvian soles from Edpyme Alternativa.
