Miriam Margot's story

Miriam is a mother, she is 44 years old and she lives together with her family in the district of Olmos. The region is known for its population that mostly resides in rural areas with great distances between them. The main businesses are agriculture and commerce and the region belongs to the province of Lambayeque. It is one hour and 45 minutes from the city of Chiclayo. For the past three years she has been selling clothing. She sells uniforms, sweaters, shoes, and general clothing items to her clients. Miriam sells clothing that is appropriate for the season. She acquires her merchandise from stores in the city of Chiclayo. Miriam has had a Kiva loan in the past through Edpyme Alternativa (Kiva Field Partner) and its allied company Capital Semilla. With the help of the first loan she was able to expand her business with the acquisition of merchandise in time for the new school year. This generated substantial earnings and it was of great benefit to her family. She is very happy and she is grateful to all those individuals that have helped her turn her business into a success.
