A loan of $550 helped to buy wool and yarn, and to have doors and windows put in her house.

Flor's story

Flor is 36 years old, very earnest and enjoys doing a good job. She is the mother of two daughters and lives with her husband and parents-in-law. Since she was six years old Flor has been knitting and making embroidered jackets. Most of her work is between May and November since it is the winter season. She receives many orders from overseas so she is very careful to pay full attention and concentrate on her work.

Flor is very happy to be able to work out of the comfort of her home where she can attend to her daughters and household chores. She has future plans to go into the food selling business and would like to open a restaurant.

This is the ninth loan she has requested through MFP and she is fully committed to making the payments on time, considering the loan to be very helpful in growing her business. She will use the loan to buy wool and yarn in different colors; and also plans to install doors and windows in order to mprove her home and quality of life.
