A loan of $800 helped purchase materials to build a storage shed for her store.

Patricia Elizabeth's story

Sra. Elizabeth is a merchant who has a neighborhood store in a periurban section of the city. She has four children, three from her first marriage and one from her current one. Her husband works in transportation, driving a taxi in the urban areas. They both work hard to support their household and recently constructed on their lot. Previously they had rented in a distant area but are now very happy to have their house as well as greater freedom and comfort.

Sr. Victor brings his wife to the market every day so that she can stock up on supplies for her store such as meat, bread, and other items that sell on a daily basis. They leave at 6am and Doña Elizabeth returns home alone by walking with her packages since the market is seven blocks from her house. The money from this loan will be used to buy roofing sheets to build a shed for her little store.

She is very grateful to Emprender for the support it has provided.
