Tubiburukundo Group's story

Joselyne is 38 years old and married to a soldier. They have two children who do not attend school yet. Joselyne is a group leader of a borrowing group called Tubiburukundo in Kinyarwanda which means “Sow love” in English. Each group member does a different business but all of them know about the functionality of the loan and are willing to pay back the loan because they are confident of their businesses.

Joselyne sells different items in her shop such as sugar, maize flour, and other retail items that are constantly demanded by her customers. It’s from this point that Joselyne and her group decided to request a loan particularly for increasing the volume of items in her shop. She plans on using the profits to pay school fees because her children by will be enrolled in school next year. She also plans on saving the remaining balance. She would like to see her business booming by as much as 70% in the future.
