Sara Miguelina's story

Sara is a member of the Las Almendras community bank which is located in Calleria district, in Ucayali department. She is 65 years old and married, with a child in her care. Sara has been working with Manuela Ramos loans for 11 years.

Sara rents out rooms. The entire second floor of her house is rented out and she is adapting even more empty spaces so that she can continue renting. It makes her good money as she is in a good location.

Sara will use this loan for 1,000 Peruvian soles to buy 20 corrugated metal sheets, 10 beams, 1kg of nails for use with corrugated metal, 1kg of 3 inch nails and 6 sheets of plywood which she needs to adapt another room.

Over all these years, Sara has been investing in making repairs to her house which serves as a source of income. This has enabled her to educate her child. For this reason, she is quite grateful to Manuela Ramos.
