A loan of $375 helped to buy products and supplies for preparing food and drinks.

Herminia's story

62 year-old Herminia is a very reliable mother who lives in her own home together with her husband, her daughter and her granddaughter. The first business that she had was a small grocery store but, over time, it failed. She decided to change business and now she sells breakfasts as an itinerant street vendor. Every day she gets up very early to prepare nutritional drinks such as: 'quinua' (a quinoa drink), 'maca' (a hot drink maD. from maca – a native root vegetable) and soya. She also prepares sandwiches. She sells her products at the entrance to the local school. She is happy with the business that she has since it has proven to be profitable. However, it is very tiring and, at the end of the day, she feels aches and pains in her body. In the future, she would like to re-open her old business, installing an interior door to her grocery store.

This is Herminia's ninth loan with MFP and she pledges to make her repayments on time as she has up until now. She will use her loan to buy merchandise and supplies to continue preparing her food and drinks.
