A loan helped to buy more quantities of fresh flowers and additional bicycle units.

Jennifer's story

This is Jennifer J., 34, a resident of Caloocan City, Philippines. She is married to Bonifacio J., a factory worker, and mother of two children, both of whom are already settled in elementary school. By the grace of God, Jennifer has managed to support her children's schooling. At this time, she is working hard to send both of them all the way through college, a dream of most Filipino parents like Jennifer as she herself has been a college undergraduate and believes that a college diploma is the best legacy parents can leave their children.

Jennifer operates bicycle rental and flower shop businesses, earning at least Php4,000 per month from the rental of her bicycles and at least Php3,000 per month from her flower shop business. Her regular customers are her neighbors and the local community.

To help continue operation of her businesses, she is requesting a Php18, 000 loan to buy more quantities of fresh flowers to fill advance orders by her customers and to buy new bicycle units for renting. She expects a boost in her business income as she expands her business.

Jennifer dreams of giving both her children a good and high quality education through all her hard work on her businesses. She also hopes to have more patrons who will regularly buy her products. She faithfully meets up with her co-fellowship* members to share stories of her work every week.

* All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners who gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and pay Micro Finance loans.
