Yanina Abdulia's story

Yanina is a member of the 'Las Kantutas' community bank which is located in the district and province of Puno. She is 33 years old and lives with her partner. They have two children. Yanina studied at an institute of technical education.

She has been working with Movimiento Manuela Ramos for four months. Her first loan was for 500 Peruvian soles which she invested in her business selling handicrafts.

Yanina will use her new loan for 400 Peruvian soles to buy yarn, crochet hooks and needles for knitting her sweaters.

Yanina's vision for her business is to position herself in the handicrafts business and make more profits. What she most likes about her community bank is the ease of obtaining a loan and the dynamic nature of the group.
