Ebenezer 1, 2 Group's story

Aracelis is one of the members of the Ebenezer 1 & 2 Group, located in the city of Hato Mayor, a primarily agricultural region. It is one of the most rural cities in the Dominican Republic, where there are often drinking-water and electricity shortages. The population of this area is comprised of Dominicans and Haitian immigrants. Her primary activity is to sell household products.

Aracelis is the mother of three children, who live with her and their father. She tells us that her biggest challenge has been to study. Her favorite activity is to take care of her children.

Aracelis is very excited to receive her first loan through Esperanza International. She has had her business for six months, which she started with a small amount of savings she had and with her initiative to generate income and be useful. She plans to invest this new loan into purchasing various types of household products like dish-washing liquid, soap, detergent, etc. Her dream is to become like a professional with her business.
