A loan of $375 helped to buy more beauty products such as lipsticks, cologne, talcum powder etc. to sell to her friends and family members.

Rina's story

Rina is a member of the 'Las Kantutas' community bank which is located in the district and province of Puno. She is 30 years old, single and doesn't have any children. She studied in higher education.

Rina has been working with Movimiento Manuela Ramos for five years. Her initial loan was for 300 Peruvian soles and she invested that money in buying beauty products.

Rina will use this new loan for 1,000 Peruvian soles to buy more beauty products such as lipsticks, cologne, talcum powder, etc. to sell to her friends and family members.

Rina's vision for the future is to be a manager for Unique (a cosmetics distribution company), to have her own company and to own a tourist restaurant. What she most likes about her community bank is the ease with which she can obtain a loan.
