A loan of $1,000 helped to buy a motorbike for family use.

Chreng's story

Chreng S., 62, is requesting a loan of $1,000 to purchase a motorbike for her family's use. In the future, she would like to use any additional profits from her business to repair her house.

S. sells food, earning an income of about $5 per day. She is married and resides with her husband and two children in Prey Veng Province, Cambodia, an area known for being well supplied with fresh water from major rivers. Every month, the family has to spend $44 on food, $10 on electricity and $45 on other necessary expenses. Her two children are employed as construction workers, earning an income of about $3 each per day to help cover the family expenses.

This is her first loan from CREDIT, a long-standing Kiva partner in Cambodia.
