Gloria Emelina's story

Gloria S. is 49 years old. She lives in the Cabañas neighborhood of the city of Choluteca. She sells fried chicken in a small square in Concepción de Choluteca market. Gloria is a hard-working woman. Gloria has two daughters who are already grown up but still live with her. She gets up every day at 4.00am to prepare the chickens that she will sell during the day. She prepares the chickens in her home and then fries them in the square so that she can sell them just fried, warm and with a better flavor. Her daughters help her with the housework. Gloria will use her loan to buy chickens wholesale. In her spare time she visits family members and goes to church.
