A loan of $725 helped to buy a variety of industrial yarn.

Jovita's story

Jovita is 34 years old. She is a loving mother and lives with her husband and two children in her own home which she has just acquired. For more than two years, Jovita has been knitting sweaters, using industrial yarn. She does this work in her workshop which is located in her home. She also makes other clothes with a variety of different threads and colors. However, she has to keep moving her knitting machine to a different spot in her home to avoid people coming in and stealing it.

Jovita's days are spent making and knitting children's and adult's sweaters. She sells these garments to her family members and friends in her neighborhood. What she most likes about her work is that she enjoys her knitting and doesn't feel the hours rush past. She also makes profits which help her to cover her household's expenses. In the future, she would like to re-do her walls and put flooring down in her rooms, to provide her daughters with a better quality of life.

This is Jovita's second loan with MFP and she knows that if she makes her repayments on time it will be easier for her to access another loan. She is a very respected member of her community bank and she is held in high regard for her responsibility. She will use her loan to buy a variety of industrial yarns so that she can continue in her work.
