Alejandro Acuña Ramírez is a very young person and lives alone in the Cazorla community, in the Mizque province in the department of Cochabamba. Alejandro is 26. He has been an orphan since he was very young. His mother and little sister passed away in a transportation accident, and soon after his father died of pain and illness. Alejandro started working in agriculture at a very young age with his neighbours in the area where he lives. He learned to cultivate potatoes, carrots and beans as he grew up. In the area where he lives they only harvest twice per year. With his hard work and the loan that he is requesting, he wants to invest more in his crops, purchasing organic fertilizer and seeds to recuperate what was lost in his previous harvest. This way he wants to improve his quality of life and help his younger siblings.
