A loan of $1,025 helped to purchase clothing.

Boubacar's story

Mr. Boubacar C. is over 35 years old, married and the father of two children. He lives in the neighborhood of Kaboïla I-Kélétiguila, in the center of the town of Sikasso (third administrative region of the Republic of Mali.)

He has been practicing his activity for six years after having lead several unsuccessful activities. His customer base is increasing and his own financial resources cannot meet the demand of these customers, so he decided to request a first loan and join the microfinance institution Soro Yiriwasso.

This current individual loan will allow him to increase his working capital in order to buy 10 pairs of shoes “Ferardine”, 5 “Abacos” suit jackets, 5 pairs of dress shoes, a dozen belts, 15 pair of pants of various quality, 10 shirts etc… He gets his supplies in Bamako in order to sell them door-to-door between the various professional entities in Sikasso town and often as far as Baguinéda on the road to Ségou.

This current loan will allow him to make a monthly profit of 120,000 Francs CFA. It will be mostly used to increase his working capital, but also to honor his commitment to Soro Yiriwaso and to cover other family expenses.
