Ricardo's story

Ricardo S. is from the village of Maluno Sur, Benito Soliven, Isabela. He is 50 years old. Ricardo is married and has 2 adult children. To make a living, Ricardo owns & operates a business venture in the agriculture sector raising crops. While not the only means for generating revenue, the main source of income for the business comes primarily from planting & harvesting corn for sale. Ricardo has been engaged in his business for over 20 years and earns approximately 4000 PHP a month for these activities.

In 2010, Ricardo joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve his living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Ricardo is requesting a loan of 15000 PHP, which will be used to purchase fertilizers such as manure. This loan will be the 1st loan taken out by Ricardo from ASKI. He plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve/expand his business.
