Fidelia's story

Mrs. Fidelia A. Vda. D. Montaño, 56, lives in the community of Callejas, Mizque province, Cochabamba department. She has five children. Her husband died very young due to an illness and she had to work alone to proviD. food and education for her children. Now, most of them are married adults and only one is still dependent on her.

Because of the natural disaster that the drought was throughout the zone, her small onion crop did not mature properly. This disaster led to complete failure of her expected income.

Fidelia is a very respected and esteemed person where she lives because of her dedication to her children and her work; sometimes she even had to work as an agricultural day laborer to earn a few pesos to support herself.

She is asking for this loan to buy organic manure for her crops to increase production and improve income to proviD. a better quality of life for her son so that he can go to school in better conditions. The loan will help her son and her with the hard work she does.
