A loan of $1,525 helped a member increase the capital of the business and buy new broiler chicks.

Mikoroshini Group's story

Monda K. is in his early thirties and is married. For the past five years, Monda has been running a broiler farm, where he breeds and sells broiler chickens. The business is open between 07:00 am and 05:00 pm and earns Monda a low monthly profit.

This will be Monda's first Motisha loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. A Mothisha loan is a product offered by Tujijenge Tanzania that allows borrowers with good credit ratings to pay back their original loans faster and receive extra money before their original loan term has ended. Monda aims to use this loan to increase the working capital of his business. He also aims to buy more broiler chicks to increase his stock.

Monda will share this loan with his loan group Mikoroshini, which totals 11 members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable for repaying the loans.
