A loan of $1,075 helped to buy fertilizer for his crops.

Hector's story

Hector, 32 years old, is a kind and hard-working man who lives in his own home with his wife Segundina, 28 years old, and their two children whom they strive to provide with a better future. The effort Hector has put into tending and fertilizing his crops is reflected in the quality of his products, such as cocoa, coffee and coca leaves, whose cultivation is in great demand in the markets of the city of San Francisco where he sells them.

What he likes most about his work is harvesting his land and he does so with joy. He has been doing this for 15 years and considers the most difficult aspect to be transporting his products since means of transport are very scarce in the area where his crops are. In time, he wants to buy more land in order to increase his production.

This is his ninth loan with MFP, in his earlier repayments he was punctual and expects to be able to do the same now. He is one of the few men in his community bank, which makes him well esteemed to the rest of the members. With the requested loan of three thousand Peruvian sol he will buy more bags of fertilizer.
