Cristina's story

Cristina V. Garcia is a successful small businesswoman in the canton of Los Chiles in the province of Alajuela. Five years ago she had the desire and courage to start her own business. This is how her general store was born and how she has been able to provide for her children. She is requesting a loan for ₡600,000 (six hundred thousand colones) to buy merchandise, especially groceries and household items, in order to increase her business. She never wants her family to have to go without.

She is a member of the Empresa de Crédito Comunal Santa Fe [Santa Fe Communal Credit Company], one of the 100 member organizations of EDESA in Costa Rica.
