A loan of $550 helped to buy materials to expand her dressmaking business.

Susana's story

Susana is 25 years old. She is married and lives with her parents in the village of Cruz del Médano, in Mórrope district, an agricultural area whose residents are mainly modest and hard-working people. The area is located in Lambayeque province. Susana makes clothes which are requested by a salesman who usually visits the area where she lives making orders and collect the merchandise once it is ready. Her business requires a lot of creativity and patience and she enjoys her work a lot. She has a small workshop in her home. Susana also raises and sells animals. She uses the profits that she makes from these activities to cover her personal expenses and help her family to get ahead. Susana would like to expand her business, acquiring more materials such as thread and fabric so that she can fill some pending orders. She would also like to acquire balanced animal feed to expand her business raising and selling animals. For this reason, she is requesting a loan for 1,500 Peruvian soles from Edpyme Alternativa.
