A loan of $3,800 helped a member to invest in each of her three businesses.

Sacro Group's story

Eulalia belongs to the “SACRO” community bank. She lives in the rural community of Qollana, in Chincheros district, in Urubamba province, in Cusco department.

Eulalia is 44 years old. She is married and has 3 children. She buys and sells farming products. She has land of her own where she grows corn, potatoes and vegetables which she sells wholesale and retail. She also raises young animals that she fattens and then sells. She has cattle in Cruz Pata and since the year 2000 she has been buying young cattle as often as she can to raise. She divides her time with great care between her three business activities. She would now like to save a little so that she can buy another cow to increase her animal production and sale business. She will also invest in buying seeds for her farm.

Eulalia is requesting her loan to invest in buying a young cow and seeds. The other members of the group work in livestock farming, crop farming, raising young animals, selling meals, plumbing and construction work.

Eulalia is grateful for the loan that she is being offered and she pledges to continue working hard so that she can make her repayments and improve her business.
