A loan of $1,700 helped a member to buy fruit.

Mujeres Dinamicas Group's story

The 'Mujeres Dinámicas' (Dynamic Women) committee is in its second loan cycle as part of Fundación Paraguaya's Women's Committee Program. The group has 12 members. One of the committee's members, who we will talk about here, is Luisa Arhens. She owns a small street stall where she sells fruit in her community. She goes to the market to buy her fruit which she then sells. It is cheaper here than in other places. She also sells natural juices. She has regular customers and she uses her profits to help her husband. She joined the committee so that she could expand her small business. She is requesting her loan to buy fruit such as apples, oranges, melons, watermelons, pineapples, etc. All of the members of this committee have a great desire to improve themselves.
