Rosemary's story

Rosemary A. W. is 38 years old, married, and has three children between the ages of 12 and 21. Her business is located in a residential area of Mombasa, Kenya. She provides tailoring services to the local people. She makes and repairs their clothes. She has been in this business for the last fifteen years and has one employee. She says that this business is profitable, though her major challenge is debtors who don't pay on time, and others who don't pay at all. However she works very hard to keep her business doing well. She is using her loan of 80,000 KES to buy more material to expand her business and meet the demands of her customers. She hopes to grow her business, get a more spacious premises, and give knowledge to people who want to do the kind of business she does. She also hopes to give her children a quality university education. She describes herself as friendly and welcoming.
