A loan of $4,000 helped a member to invest in her business.

Ilusion 2 Group's story

This photo was taken in Mrs Ana Pérez M.' house. Ana is 48 years old and studied up to the third year of high school. She is married and has 4 sons.

Ana is a member of the 'Ilusión 2' group which is located in San Martin Texmelucan. The photo shows the members of the group. The lady we have just mentioned sells breakfasts in her local school. She also has a small store and sells bread in the mornings and afternoons. She has been doing this for 4 years. She is requesting this loan to buy oil, canned goods and soft drinks, amongst other things. Ana comments that she would like to extend her store a little. Her customers are the town's residents in general and her business is located on the town's main road. At the time of requesting this loan she feels excited about being able to get ahead in her store and have a better life. She is requesting this loan to better stock her small store and, at the same time, improve her breakfast sales, increase her profits, and stock her store with more essentials.
