This group is called 'Primavera Extreme' (Extreme Spring). The group's members decided to give it this name because the group was founded in the Spring and it was extremely hot at the time. The Primavera Extreme group is located in Pachuca Hidalgo in Mexico. It has 9 members.

Mrs Karina M. is the group's president. She is 31 years old and studied up to the third year of high school. She sells shoes and bedspreads. She is a single mother and has 2 children: a 10 year-old girl and a 12 year-old boy. She started this business because her job as a cleaner didn't pay enough so she decided to look for more income. She is requesting this loan to invest in her business selling shoes and bedspreads since she needs more investment in these months since it is a good season for sales of her products. She says that the support she gets from her loans is very important for her and her family since she reinvests her money and can thereby support her children in their studies and get them ahead in life which is very important for her. In the photo Mrs Angelica R. A. is missing because she had a school meeting to attend.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
