Silvia Patricia's story

Mrs. Silvia R. is a member of the La Estancia communal bank. She lives in Cabo which is in Paute canton. This canton is characterized by the natural beauty of its scenery. It has a mild climate and beautiful flowers are grown in its fields. Its people are warmhearted and kind.

She is 33 years old, married and has four children who are 9, 7, and 4 year old twins. All the children go to the local school. Her husband is a private employee. Through their work as a couple they’ve managed to build their own house.

Silvia is a housewife dedicated to caring for her children but she also uses her time to farm. She grows vegetables and raises animals like pigs and guinea pigs. She sells everything in her own community.

She has been in the communal bank for 4 years. She likes it because she has good friends there and the loans are beneficial for her businesses. She will use the loan to buy guinea pigs. Her goal is to have some kind of a business of her own.
