A loan of $375 helped to purchase sweets to stock her sales stand.

Edith's story

Edith is 42 years old and a very reliable mother. She lives in her own house with her husband and 2 children. Edith sells sweets and drinks at racetracks, stadiums, and outside of the some of the city’s prestigious clubs. The sale of cigarettes, chocolates, and cookies generate good profits, given that she sells them at a higher price than their original cost. She has been doing this for 3 years, and she mentions that she would like to have a kiosk in the front part of her house, so that she can sell Ceviche (a traditional dish from the coast) during the week. This is her second loan with MFP, and she pledges to make her loan payments on time, so that she can have access to other loans with ease. With the loan that she has requested, she will purchase goods to increase her stock of sweets.
