Denis Del Carmen's story

Denis B. is 49 years old and lives with her husband in Sierrita neighborhood, in the city of Barranquilla. She sells a variety of merchandise. She started her business in her own community but, thanks to the loans she has had from Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, she has managed to increase her sales, have working capital available to buy her products for cash, make new profits and, with these profits, finish building her house, pay for her daughter's studies and generally improve her financial situation.

Denis' accounts receivable turn over every 30 days. Her return on sales is 40%, her borrowing capacity is 45% and her payment capacity is 96%. Denis won't stop growing her business and working to achieve her dream which is to turn her business into a prosperous store. In this way she hopes to provide her 12 year-old daughter with a university education. She is planning a successful future for her daughter, following a quality education.

Denis will use her loan to buy women's, men's and children's clothes and cosmetics which will enhance her customers' image during this end-of-year season so that families can celebrate the holidays with a lot of energy and peace in God which is how it should be.
