A loan of $250 helped to purchase various products (pasta, vegetable oil, canned sardines, etc.).

Lucienne's story

Lucienne was born in 1976 in Ouidah, a historic city of Benin. Lucienne is married to Rene and the mother of four children, some of whom are attending school. It has been nearly five years since the family moved to Akossavié, in the town of Abomey Calavi. Lucienne helps her husband and with him provides for her family's expenses.

In order to take care of her family's needs, Lucienne sells various items (pasta, couscous, canned tomatoes and canned sardines, vegetable oil, dish sets etc.) in a shop in her home. Lucienne buys her supplies in Dantokpa, the international market of Benin. Lucienne is also a seamstress, but that is a secondary business. This is the third loan Lucienne is requesting from ALIDé, she will use this loan to strengthen her business and grow her income.
