A loan of $900 helped to purchase chickens and ingredients such as spices and creams.

Jose's story

José, age 64, lives in his own house with his wife, age 60, and their 2 teenage children. Together they strive each day to get ahead. Four 4 years he has sold spices at a market in his area. He is very pleased because he obtains regular earnings. In addition, his wife sells chickens next to his stall. They take turns in looking after both businesses since they are very hardworking.

He enjoys his business a lot, and it gives him time to carry out his purchases once a week in the city so that his merchandise is fresh and of high quality. This is how the days of this hard working man pass. He has many plans for the future, such as buying a permanent stall in the market so that he can quit itinerant sales. He knows that with effort and dedication he will achieve his goals.

This is the fourteenth loan that he has had with MFP, and he promises to pay his installments on time since he doesn’t want to let down the people that have made possible the investment which will permit him to continue working and seeking progress. José is planning to invest the loan in the purchase of chickens and spices since he needs to supply himself for the Christmas season. In this way he hopes to get ahead.
