A loan of $3,100 helped a member to add to her savings to build a kitchen for cooking.

Horn's Group's story

This village loan consists of 18 members living in Veal Kandal village, Kandal province. This village selected Mrs. Horn R., a 38-year-old married woman, as the village bank president. With the loans, they hope to increase their incomes to improve the living conditions of their families.

Mrs. Horn R. is a farmer who owns a plot of land that she uses to cultivate rice. Aside from farming, she also earns her living through selling Khmer cakes. Her husband, Mr. Nay Sophal, 43 years old, works as plumber and can earn a little income to support his family.

For the family living situation, Mrs. Horn R. would like to ask for a loan to add to her savings to build a kitchen for cooking.

This couple has a child who is a student and also helps the mother with Khmer cake selling.
