Alba Ii Group's story

The ALBA II community bank is beginning its third loan cycle with Pro Mujer, in the Villa Exaltación regional office. The group has ten members. The executive committee is made up of a president, treasurer and secretary. The members' businesses are varied: selling blankets, selling clothes, selling sweet treats, selling jams, 'pasanacu' (community solidarity fund), store, selling cosmetics, selling jams, selling liquor, selling sweet treats and raising chickens. Jhaneth, the group's president, has had a business selling clothes for three years. She makes her sales in the '16 de Julio' district market. When we ask Jhaneth what she likes about Pro Mujer she answers that she likes the type of guarantee with which the loans are awarded, that is to say a mutually-binding, joint and indivisible guarantee.
