A loan of $550 helped to buy several sacks of fertilizer and 2 bags of pea seeds.

Moises's story

Moisés is 28 years old. He lives together with Mary who is 22. They have 2 children: 7 year-old Ronaldo and 1 year-old Anderson. They live in a rented house in the city of Tarma. Moisés' main business activity is growing potatoes and peas. He has been doing this for 18 years and he tells us that feels very happy to be able to engage in this activity which his parents taught him.

After each harvest, Moisés sells his produce in the wholesale market in his town. He also works in the town with his 'triciclo' (three-wheeled vehicle), loading and unloading sacks of potatoes and large quantities of vegetables. His best days are Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays because then everybody visits the market to do their weekly shopping. In the future, he would like to father together a considerable sum of money to be able to buy a motorbike and use it to provide a public transport service, covering routes in the areas around the city.

This is Moisés' fifth loan from MFP and, as a good member of his community bank, he is certain that he will be able to get ahead, thanks to the support and collaboration that he receives. He will use his loan to buy several sacks of organic fertilizer, natural fertilizers and 2 bags of pea seeds which cost between 600 and 700 Peruvian soles each.
