Rosalinda's story

Rosalinda P. is from the village of Poblacion, Kalilangan, Bukidnon. She is 39 years old. Rosalinda is married and has three school-aged children. To make a living, she owns and operates a sari-sari (variety) retail shop, selling daily use products such as shampoo, soap, toothpaste, instant noodles, seasoning mix, spices and junk foods in the local community. She has been engaged in her business for over four years and earns approximately $125 a month for these activities.

In 2009, Rosalinda joined HSPFI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. She has successfully repaid a previous loan of 5,000 PHP from HSPFI. This previous loan was used to purchase additional inventory and as working capital.

Rosalinda is requesting a new loan of 7,000 PHP which will be used to purchase additional products like canned goods and beverages. This will be her 5th loan from HSPFI. She plans to use the additional revenue generated to improve her business.
