A loan of $375 helped to buy different colored wool in bulk.

Dora's story

Dora is 29 years old. She lives with her 2 children in her mother's house. Since she was a child she has been weaving with a loom, a skill which she was taught by her mother. She does different work on items of clothes. She currently receives orders from her customers who make backpacks by hand and who need straps woven on looms. Dora is an expert at this work. She does her work from the comfort of her own home and, with the help of her mother, she is able to look after her children too. She comments that she likes her work because it makes income for her family and allows her to fill the other roles which she has in her household. She has a great wish in the future to keep her weaving workshop running and improve her production.

This is Dora's second loan with MFP. She is very happy to know that she has financial support and she likes being part of her community bank because all the members are responsible people who are very supportive of one another. She is grateful to those people who will fund her loan since it will be very useful to her in making progress in her business. She will use her loan to invest in buying more wool in different colors since she must continue with her weaving work.
