The “Manzanitas” community bank is a group which is beginning its first loan cycle with the Cascada regional office. It has eight members. The president of this cycle's executive committee is Celsa, the treasurer is Justina and the secretary is Eustaquia. The ladies all have different businesses and these include: light bulb sales (five members), handicrafts, making blankets and food sales.

Celsa, the president of the “Manzanitas” community bank, lives with her partner and seven children. She became a member of her community bank when her friend invited her to take part. She has been selling food for 10 years. She started in this business through her own initiative. She is currently requesting 1,500 bolivianos to buy supplies for making food.

When we asked her what she most liked about Pro Mujer she said “the meetings”.

La Banca Comunal “MANZANITAS” es uno grupo que inicia su primer ciclo en el Centro focal de Cascada, cuenta con ocho integrantes. La mesa directiva para este ciclo tiene como presidenta a la señora Celsa, como tesorera la señora Justina y como secretaria de actas a la señora Eustaquia. Los negocios de las señoras son diferentes, entre ellos tenemos: venta de focos (cinco socias), artesanía elaboración de mantas, venta de comida

La señora Celsa, presidenta de la banca comunal “Manzanitas” tiene un hogar conformado por su pareja y siete hijos. Es parte de la banca comunal debido a que una amiga le invitó a participar de la misma. Con respecto a su negocio ella lleva 10 años en el negocio de venta de comida, inició este emprendimiento por motivación personal. Actualmente solicita Bs.1500.- para la compra de insumos para la elaboración de la comida.
Cuando le consultamos qué es lo que más le gusta de Pro Mujer ella dice “las reuniones”.
