A loan of $375 helped to buy construction material (5 bags of cement, 1 meter of gravel and 4 iron rods).

Mirla Soraya's story

Mirla is a member of the 'Las Almendras' community bank which is located in Ucayali department. She is 31 years old, married, and has one dependent child. Her husband is a teacher. Mirla has been working with Manuela Ramos loans for one and a half years. She has a small business where she sells meals (breakfasts). She runs her business from the open space directly outside her house. This means that she also has time to look after her child and do other things.

She will use this loan for 1,000 Peruvian soles to buy 5 bags of cement, 1 meter of gravel and 4 iron rods to fix the ground outside her home so that she can serve her customers more comfortably.

Mirla is using the profits she makes in her business to buy things which she really needs for her home and the great thing is that she can help her husband with some expenses.

Mirla is grateful to Manuela Ramos for providing women with this opportunity to access a small loan.
