A loan of $725 helped to buy stock items for her business.

Melchora's story

Melchora, 45, lives in her own house with her two children. She only tends to the youngest because her oldest daughter works and goes to school.

This enterprising woman rises very early every morning to start selling items for the home (dishes, cups and decorations). She has been in this business for 6 years. She is very satisfied because as time has gone by she has managed to capture a good number of regular customers that buy from her often because they are aware of the quality and good prices of her wares. Also, because she offers credit and collects weekly or biweekly according to her customers’ agreement.

She enjoys her work very much because while she sells she entertains herself chatting and wandering through town. Besides, her children help her once in a while.

She has a lot of plans for the future like setting up a small store in a commercial area, for example, because she figures she’ll do well because she already has customers.

This is her 6th loan with MFP and she promises to repay punctually because she does not want to disappoint the people who made contributions that will allow her to stay in business seeking progress.

Melchora plans to use the funds to buy merchandise she needs to better stock her business because she has several pending orders to fill.
