Mrs. Thun S., 51, is a mother of six children and lives in Kampong Cham province, Cambodia. She works making Khmer noodles and sells them to the people in her community. With this activity, she is able to earn profits of around $1.50 each day. Her husband is self-employed as a farmer growing rice crops and various kinds of vegetables, making on average around $0.50/day. Two of her children are currently employed at a garment factory, while the others are unemployed or enrolled in school. Mrs. Thun S. is humbly requesting a loan amount of $1000 to purchase a car for one of her children to operate a taxi business. She is confident that this loan will enable her son to provide another source of income.
