Alice V.'s Group's story

Salone Microfinance Trust (SMT), a partner of Kiva.org in Makeni, northern Sierra Leone, is pleased to present to you teachers of the Ahmadiyya Primary School, in Magburaka, a town in northern Sierra Leone. This school was founded in 1947 by the Ahmadiyya Mission. Currently the school is staffed with fourteen teachers and has an enrollment of 400 pupils.

These hard-working and dedicated teachers have come to SMT, a partner of Kiva.org, to seek a loan of SLL 8,750,000. K. has been in the teaching profession for sixteen years now. With her share of this loan, she will buy market food - rice, palm oil, etc. in large quantity to sell.
