A loan of $550 helped to buy products to expand her business.

Lady Elizabeth's story

Lady is a 30 year-old mother who lives with her husband and two children in a rural zone of the Tambogrande locality. It is an agricultural district in the Piura region, located more than four hours from Chiclayo, capital city of the Lambayeque region. Lady has a bodega [small grocery store] set up in her home, where she offers her customers all types of products for daily use, such as staple items and groceries. Her business is very well received by her customers in the area, who prefer her store thanks to the good quality of her products and the excellent service she offers.

Lady would like to expand her bodega by purchasing more products, since demand increases during the Christmas season. For this reason, she decided to request a loan of 1,500 nuevos soles from Edpyme Alternativa. Lady is quite a responsible woman and very devoted to her family. She will use the income she earns from this endeavor to help her husband, a farmer, to keep up with daily expenses.
