The solidarity group Sop Mame Astou is made up of 14 women living in the same neighborhood. It was created on March 28, 2008. These women’s main activity is small retail.

The group leader, Mbeugué Guéye, is married and the mother of three children. She is on the right of the photo. She sells fruits and vegetables and cosmetic products.

She gets her supplies from the large city market and resells in her neighborhood.

She is requesting a 50,000 Francs loan to increase the amount of items she sells.

With her profit she helps her husband in supporting the family.
