Gohar's story

Gohar V. lives in Yerevan with her son, whom she brought up by herself. For more than 10 years Gohar worked in a shoe shop as a salesperson, and for about 14 years Gohar has run her own clothes trading business in different markets. Now, Gohar is renting a trading stall in the biggest Yerevan clothes market, where she manages her business. Gohar sells only men’s clothes, and she says it is a correct choice, because the majority of offered merchandise in Armenian markets is women’s clothes, so she has a lot of regular customers. Once a month she imports clothes from neighboring countries to resell.

For a long time Gohar has solved her family’s needs and paid for her son's education thanks to her business income. Owing to this education, now Gohar’s son has a job and he shares the family’s expenses with his mother.

Gohar seeks a loan of $3,000 to buy winter assortment of sweaters, blazers, sweatshirts, jackets, etc. for her shop.
